Asand asks the people who buy business technology how they decide, and publishes what they tell us.
What we do
We run short benchmarks for people who choose B2B technology, give everyone who takes part a useful result, and publish what the market tells us once there are enough answers to be sure.
The name comes from sand. A single grain tells you very little. Enough of them, and you can see the shape of a dune, which way the wind is blowing and where it’s heading next. Every answer is a grain.
Our benchmarks cover 31 areas of business technology, from cyber security and finance software to weather data and developer tools, and we ask every person which of 25 industries they work in and where their organisation is based. A shared core means a finding in one area can be set against the whole market.
How Asand is funded
Free for you. Paid for in three clear ways.
Introductions you ask for
If you ask to talk to us and decide you’d like to meet a technology supplier, we introduce you, and that supplier pays us. You confirm the exact company in writing first. If you never ask, it never happens.
Anonymised research
Organisations, including technology suppliers, pay for anonymised and aggregated insight from benchmark data. Never individual answers, and never a figure for a group smaller than 10.
Sponsored benchmarks
A technology supplier can sponsor a benchmark in its area and add a few questions, which we edit so they are neutral. Sponsored benchmarks say who sponsors them. The sponsor receives aggregated findings, never individual answers or contact details.
What money can’t buy
A better score, a softer finding, a place in a ranking or an edit to what we publish. We don’t run rankings at all.
